Recovery? has been the word for the Henryville community and surrounding towns in Clark County ravaged by an F-4 tornado March 2.

It also has been on the tongues of organizations like the Immanuel Lutheran Disaster Response Team.

The group has worked with the long-term recovery program March2Recovery out of Henryville to help fund and build a home for a family whose mobile home was severely damaged by hail and winds from the tornado in March.

Kathy O?Day, case manager supervisor for March2Recovery, said the family?s trailer suffered such major damage from the storm it had to be torn down, leaving the family homeless.

?Immanuel Lutheran really adopted the family,? O?Day said. ?They not only helped in providing finances and building the home, but they provided emotional and spiritual support as well.?
