?Falling from Grace? (published by Balboa Press) is a book for the modern woman. With the tone of Bridget Jones? Diary, author Natalie-Ann McCauley takes a candid look into the life of Grace Manning, a young woman on a quest for self-improvement.
Through her reflections, Grace gives you a front row seat to a very personal, funny, and honest tour through her life so far. She?s had 26 years to get to this point, and she?s happy to share how she got to this day.
An excerpt from ?Falling from Grace?:
I need to go away for a while. It is time . . . I need to get away from here so I am not so blinded and I can really see and appreciate how far I have come, all that I am and all that I will be. I need to get away, so I?m not distracted, so I can choose where I want to be. I do know that I am choosing not to be here.
It?s time to put two feet in the land of the adult but enjoy it with the eyes of a child.
McCauley explains that her inspiration for writing ?Falling from Grace? came when she was writing her Social Ecology Honors thesis, studying young women and how they felt about themselves and society. ?What struck me was the consistency in stories and journeys and the feeling that they were less than perfect because of these challenges having befallen them,? she details. ?I wanted to write a story that illustrated our similarities and differences and that all these challenges/falls make us who we are and that we are great.?
?Falling from Grace? is both honest and heartfelt, sure to make readers laugh at times and cry at others as they relate to the Grace?s experiences.
?Falling from grace is a good thing. By following your heart, you can never be in the wrong place.?
