As you probably know, volunteering my time to animal shelters is a huge part of my life.? While I tend to focus my energy on the dogs, I know that the cats need my help too? and sometimes more so than the dogs!? When I was approached with the idea of photographing some adoptable kitties for Pet Helpers, one of the local limited admission shelters here in Charleston, of course I jumped at the chance.? While I often donate time to high-kill shelters, I love working with limited admission shelters and rescues too.? It?s kind of nice to mix it up
So I spent about an hour photographing some of their orange tabby and black kitties at Pet Helpers last week.? They are currently offering an adoption special on all Halloween-colored cats + kittens, so if you know someone who is interested in adopting a cat, please send them down to Pet Helpers.? Although they have an amazing facility for their cats, they all deserve to know what it?s like to have a real home.? Some of these kitties have been at Pet Helpers their entire life!? So sad.? Please share these precious faces and tell your friends to go check out Pet Helpers.? They have a ton of great cats (and dogs) that are awaiting their forever home.? Here are just a few of them?
Pet Helpers is located at 1447 Folly Road, Charleston SC 29412 on James Island.? Please visit their website at www.pethelpers.org or give them a call at 843.795.1110.? They are open from 11am to 6pm Monday ? Friday, 11am to 5pm on Saturday and 12-4pm on Sunday.? They have so many wonderful pets available for adoption and they need your help.? As a limited admission shelter, they pull animals from local high-kill facilities (like Charleston Animal Society) but they can only pull animals when they have space ? so it?s important to spread the word about the cats + dogs at Pet Helpers too!? Thanks so much for helping to spread the word about another wonderful Charleston shelter.
